Four days after Dr Nash winning the Abel Prize on May 19, 2015, Dr Nash and his wife, Alicia, met with a fatal car accident in NJ. It was unusual that only the passengers died in the accident, and nothing happened to neither involved drivers.
In this interconnected IoT world, where an individual can get a telemarketing ad letter tied to a posting in a social media platform on the same day, an estate planning mail ad after an email on COVID deaths to involved parties, and a taxi ($10 off) coupon after a planned trip booked online, which was supposed to be private and confidential, it makes us wonder whether there is more to these kinds of accidents?
COMPARISON BETWEEN REEL WORLD & REALITY
As per a dated 2002 article in Neurology Today, there appears to be a disconnect between reality and "reelity". Here is a section extracted from that article.
"The psychosis is presented as organized visual hallucinations with Mr. Nash seeing an imaginary roommate, a formidable, police-type spymaster, and a child. For that matter, Dr Nash showed no signs of any illness at the time of Nobel Prize ceremony as registered in this article.
"There was no indication of Mr. Nash's illness at the Nobel ceremony at which he was awarded the prize for mathematics. In recent television interviews, he discusses most amazingly as a dispassionate observer".
Coming to the topic on police-type spymaster, even though this dated 2002 article suggested such presentations being more an on-screen gimmick rather than reality, we also need to ask the question whether such events could have happened. Please note that Dr Nash worked for RAND corporation, a strategic think-tank which was created post WW-II early on in this career. This organization had a unique set of diverse talents, freest spirits, and an interesting work environment, where practical jokes were quite common. During his stint at RAND, and as per reports out there, he was caught once for indecent exposure. Dr Nash was also known to be vocal and outspoken in this views in his younger days, which usually happens to be the case with talented and extraordinary minds. Added to it, as per Mr Kessler in his books on Secret service units, secret service units are known to engage in TACOPS and conduct various "secret" missions. During such operations, TACOPS units were/are known to install microphones or cameras that can transmit sound or pictures through beamed light in fiber-optic strands as fine as human hair making it almost impossible for even topnotch debugging experts to detect stray electronic emissions. With such TACOPS quite prevalent even then, police-type spymaster story might not be a far-fetched story.
How such operations are relevant to the current times? In this day and age of IoT, such clandestine activities can be done by various organizations and institutions of different sizes, and it need not be confined to secret agencies making it difficult for true Einsteins and Ramanujans coming out of their shadows, while half-baked cooks and crooks holding top-notch positions not only on the political front, but also in various avenues such as corporate and academic leadership roles. For that matter, such clandestine information gathering could also be exploited in election campaigns as it happened during the Mr Romney vs Mr Obama political game.
