When the same CNN polls showed a 10 points lead for Mrs. Hillary Clinton in August of 2016, supporters of Mr. Trump mentioned that the elections was not a popularity contest. I guess this again takes us to the topic of Lies, Damn Lies and Stats depending on which side you are.

The President's improving issue ratings come amid a sharp rise in positive impressions of how the country is doing. Overall, 57% say things are going well in the US today -- up from 49% saying the same in February -- which is the largest proportion to say so since January of 2007.
